This weekend we celebrate 13 years of Ireland’s longest running techno night, Bastardo Electrico! With such a rich music culture in Ireland we’re delighted to be celebrating the dedication and hard work which has sustained Bastardo Electrico on Culture Night in Cork. Experimenting with the many shapes and forms that music takes is what makes some of the best we’ve ever heard come alive. Whether you’re tipping your hat to music gone by or pushing the boundaries and making something new, music in Ireland continues to inspire with electronic music playing a massive role.
Bastardo Electrico’s 13th Birthday celebrations take over the Pav with Sunil Sharpe and Jamie Behan playing back-to-back for 4 hours. Two of Ireland’s finest DJs, both with an unholy amount of tunes, talent and experience, will be playing everything from house and techno to old skool rave. Sunil has been playing Bastardo Electrico events since the early days in Sir Henry’s and has gone a long way in promoting Irish electronic music in Europe. This is the first time this has ever happened so it’s a rare occasion to enjoy tunes like you’ve never done before. No matter how many mixes or tunes you listen to, hearing it all come together in a venue like the Pav, on a big soundsystem and from two well accomplished DJs is a one of a kind experience. If you’re a fan of all things electronic or just want to see what the fuss is about get yourself to the Pav tomorrow at 11.
