Absolutely delighted to see Dusky have a new release out. Have been a big fan of the duo for a while now and every release they’ve put out has caught my attention in one way or another.
With 90’s US house an obvious influence throughout all their output,a catchy bassline and hook is always at the forefront and Careless is no different. Released on Will Saul‘s Aus imprint, you can immediately tell it’s Dusky- with the hollow bass an immediate giveaway from the self titled opener. Rise For Love, Esperanto Juggler and Words Later typically follow suit. Piano stabs, deep basslines and infectious vox remain throughout as is that groove that is prevalent in everything they do. I absolutely love their sound and having seen them DJ a few times, they always manage to have the dancefloor heaving which is what it’s all about really.
