Scottish producer Lord of The Isles has been making a name for himself the past few years with releases on labels such as Shevchenko, Firecracker and Phonica, alongside his own Little Strong Recordings. His latest offering 301C Symphony sees Permanent Vacation welcome him onto their roster for the release of this expansive five-track EP.
301C Symphony has most definitely seen his sound mature and progress since his previous releases (although most closely relates 2012’s Year Of The City EP). It’s a nice slice of ambient electronica, acid house and, in the case of second track C020, techno. Each track is full of seriously punchy bass lines, acidy flourishes and warm pads, all which make for buoyant listening.
The E.P. comes out on 12″ on the 10th January.
