Absolutely loving this at the moment! Guildford’s very own Subterra has just released his track Loro Piceno for free download. He’s a DJ and producer that’s been on the scene for a long time now, having made his name in Drum and Bass circles with releases on the likes of Sudden Def, Ruse Records and Noisia‘s Invisible imprint along with working as label manager for Zinc‘s Bingo Beats,  running his Rotation nights andholding a 5 year reidency at London’s Essence of Chi. The past few years have seen him gravitate towards house and techno, both reflected in his sets with fellow music obsessive Dozer and in his productions.

Loro Piceno is one of his finest works yet in my opinion – a wicked summer anthem, with  a delicately smooth bass line and very crisp percussion. Particularly love the field recordings of the Italian countryside, where this would sound perfect sitting out in the sun with a beer.
