Festival revelers from Cork and beyond are getting ready to enjoy Cork’s newest addition to the festival circuit – Townlands Carnival! Organisers have really outdone themselves for their first year, hosting five stages, a healing area and a kids area.
The grounds and stages are divided into an interactive town, inspired by the fantastic Boomtown Fair so there’s a whole lot of music, art and devilry to be discovered! They’ve been hugely supportive of Irish acts with plenty of homegrown talent on the lineup.
No matter what you’re in the mood for there’s something for everyone. The main stage hosts an array of music from roots, rock and funk, dishing up the goods all round. Tom’s House in particular looks like it will be great craic with eclectic selections from Ian Fiasco, Danny Danko, Ichi Ichi and Stevie G on the lineup. We’re especially looking forward to the Digital Fleapit with RiseUp, Phoniq, Procss and Jamie Behan on the 1s and 2s. Not to just be reeled in by the power of the rave all weekend we’re planning on exploring all stages, to bring you a review next week. Stay tuned!
