There are a couple of guarantees in life – you must pay taxes, you are going to die and whenever a new Overworx comes out, you will be blown away.
OverworX 003 is the third release from Bristol producer Ben Pest and, as with the two previous releases, is four tracks of colossal techno. From the first few notes of opening track The Fuzz, it’s almost instantly recognisable as an Overworx release. The series has a definite sound – all the funkiness of acid house but the intensity of industrial techno with the occasional breaks thrown in – it’s right in the sweet spot, and just everything I love about techno, to be honest.
I could fill this site with reams of adjectives describing how good it is but you’re best to listen to it through his Bandcamp below. It absolutely bangs.
